Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church – The Greek  Orthodox Community of Surrey and the Fraser Valley

Founded in 1991, Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, The Greek Orthodox Community of Surrey and the Fraser Valley is a vibrant Hellenic community dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich Greek heritage, culture, and Orthodox faith.

Our journey began humbly in a small rented space, guided by the devotion and determination of our founding members. In 2010, through the grace of God and the support of our parishioners, we established a permanent home — a place where faith, family, and culture come together in fellowship and love.

We continue to grow as a spiritual and cultural hub for Greeks and friends of Hellenism throughout the Fraser Valley, offering religious services, educational programs, and community events that nurture both our faith and traditions.

Philoptochos

The Philoptochos Society is the philanthropic arm of the Greek Orthodox Church — a group of dedicated women committed to offering compassion, support, and love to those in need. The word Philoptochos means “friend of the poor,” and that spirit of kindness and service guides everything the Society does.

Members of the Philoptochos work together to serve both the local community and those in need around the world. Their efforts include providing assistance to families facing hardship, supporting hospitals and care centers, organizing charity drives, and offering aid during times of crisis.

Beyond their charitable work, the Philoptochos fosters fellowship, faith, and the joy of giving. It provides women with a meaningful way to live their faith through action, strengthen community bonds, and make a lasting difference in the lives of others.  For more information, please email office@greekorthodoxsurrey.com

H Zesth Gonia Seniors Society is a warm and welcoming place for our elderly community members to come together, relax, and enjoy each other’s company. Here, seniors can spend their afternoons playing cards, sharing stories, and engaging in friendly conversation.

Our society provides a space filled with laughter, friendship, and connection, a true home away from home. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, reconnect with familiar faces, or simply enjoy a pleasant afternoon among peers, H Zesth Gonia offers the perfect environment to do so.

We believe in celebrating life, heritage, and the joy of community at every age. Everyone is welcome to join us and be part of our ever-growing family.

Greek School

Greek School is a special part of our community where children and adults come together to learn the Greek language, history, and traditions. Through lessons in reading, writing, and speaking Greek, students gain a deeper connection to their heritage and culture.

Our dedicated teachers create a fun and welcoming environment that encourages learning and pride in Greek identity. Beyond the classroom, students also take part in cultural activities such as traditional songs, dances, holiday celebrations, and church events — helping to strengthen their sense of community and belonging.

Greek School is not only about education; it’s about keeping our rich traditions alive and passing them on to future generations.

Currently taking place every Saturday, from 2-4 pm! Click below for more information.
